Vision & Mission
The Late Sri. N.K. Padmanabhan Vaidyar is the founder of NUPAL AYURVEDA. A legendary physician and an undying beacon of inspiration, innovation and integration, he spearheaded the revival of Ayurveda by making it available to the world. His name is unique in the annals of history for his discovery of new formulations of Ayurveda for present day diseases and disorders.
He succeeded in effectively combining the traditional knowledge, handed down by the great Masters, with the latest modern technologies available and established a method of packaging traditional formulations into more convenient formats of tablets and capsules, keeping their effectiveness intact. He compiled all his expertise and experience in curative lifesaving formulations into a database to make authentic Ayurveda wisdom accessible to the future generations.
Late Sri. N. K. P. Vaidyar spent the initial years of his life learning principles (Yoga) of Ayurveda and their applications from ancient manuscripts that were handed down by the great Vaidyars of ancient times. His persistent efforts led him to discover the curative powers Ayurveda even for life-threatening diseases. Over forty new drugs have been formulated by him.
He is one of the eleven distinguished ‘Vaid’ honoured with the ultimate title in Ayurveda – the Vaidyavachaspathy.
A mission to sustain healthy living
The passion to extend Ayurveda’s life-sustaining benefits to the masses motivated Late Sri. N. K Padmanabhan Vaidyar’s to launch New Udaya Pharmacy and Ayurvedic Laboratories (NUPAL), an Ayurvedic Research Centre in the city of Kochi, Kerala, in 1960.
Today, NUPAL has an extensive and highly successful product range, an aggressive research team and a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with stringent quality control systems that conform to CGMP as per WHO guidelines.
In the year 1994, NUPAL incorporated another company NUPAL REMEDIES LIMITED (NRPL) to promote its patented and proprietary medicines exclusively with the goal to make the benefits of the life-saving herbal medicines available worldwide.
The mission of NUPAL is continued today by a highly dedicated team which is constantly engaged in furthering the cause of authentic Ayurveda and its curative powers.
