The company New Udaya Pharmacy and Ayurvedic Laboratories (NUPAL) was shaped through many generations that have incessantly strived for excellence in the field of unique lifesaving Ayurvedic medicines. It was the sheer energy and farsightedness of Late Sri N. K. Padmanabhan Vaidyar that made it possible to establish NUPAL in the city of Kochi, Kerala, in 1960. His intriguing knowledge and inborn talent to diagnose the root causes of illness and save many lives from their terminally ill stages, using the principles of Ayurveda, has made him world-renowned. It is also a matter of immense significance that he is one of the few recipients of `Vaidyavachaspathy’, the ultimate title in Ayurveda.

Late Sri. N K Padmanabhan Vaidyar’s quest to extend Ayurveda’s life sustaining benefits to the masses motivated him to launch New Udaya Pharmacy and Ayurvedic Laboratories (NUPAL), an Ayurvedic research centre in 1960.
